Overview

The Academy app is a built-in learning management system that helps you create, deliver, and track internal training for your team. Whether you are onboarding new hires or up-skilling existing employees, Academy provides the tools to build structured courses, monitor progress, and certify completion.

Key capabilities include a course catalog with rich content modules, a personal learning dashboard for every employee, quiz and assessment support, and automatic certificate issuance upon course completion.

Course Catalog

The course catalog is the central hub for all training materials in your organization. Administrators create and manage courses here, while employees browse available training.

  • Browse all published courses by category, department, or skill level
  • Search and filter courses to find relevant training quickly
  • View course details including description, duration, module count, and enrollment numbers
  • Self-enroll in optional courses or see mandatory assignments from your manager

Creating a Course

Go to Academy

From the sidebar, click "Academy" then select "Courses".

Module Types

Each course is made up of modules. You can mix and match different content types within a single course:

  • Text: Rich text content with formatting, images, and embedded links
  • Video: Upload videos or embed from external platforms
  • Quiz: Multiple-choice, true/false, or short-answer questions with automatic grading
  • Assignment: File upload tasks that require manual review and grading

Onboarding Templates

Use the built-in onboarding template to create a standard course for new hires. It covers company policies, tool setup, and role-specific training that you can customize to match your organization.

My Courses

Every employee has a personal learning dashboard that shows their enrolled courses, progress, and upcoming deadlines. This is the starting point for day-to-day learning.

  • See completion percentages for each enrolled course
  • Resume a course from where you left off with one click
  • View quiz scores and identify areas that need review
  • Track deadlines for mandatory courses and assignments

Manager View

Managers and administrators get an expanded view of training progress across their team:

  • See completion percentages per employee and per course
  • Send reminders to employees who have not started or are behind schedule
  • Generate training reports for compliance and audit purposes
  • Export progress data as CSV for external reporting

Certificates

Certificates provide formal recognition when an employee completes a course. You can design custom certificate templates and link them to courses for automatic issuance.

Navigate to Academy > Certificates

From the sidebar, click "Academy" then select "Certificates" to view all certificate templates.

Certificate Management

Once certificates are issued, both employees and administrators can manage them:

  • Employees can view and download their earned certificates as PDF
  • Certificates include a unique verification code for authenticity
  • Administrators can revoke or re-issue certificates if needed
  • Set expiry dates on certificates for courses that require periodic renewal

Certificate Designer

The visual certificate designer supports drag-and-drop layout. Add your company logo, choose fonts and colors, and position dynamic fields like employee name, course title, date, and score anywhere on the template.
